What's in a name?

Having browsed your jobs pages I was amazed at the number of different titles that seemed to all mean the same person! I think the following sums it up: Who am I?
Having browsed your jobs pages I was amazed at the number of different titles that seemed to all mean the same person! I think the following sums it up:

Who am I?

My title it is changing,

I'm not sure who they mean,

When reading all the vacancies

In your magazine.

A Nursery Practitioner -

Must be Level * ,

Or Nursery Nurse to start next week,

A real NNEB.

A Nursery Educator

Sounds really rather formal,

An Officer or Worker,

That has to be more normal.

Nursery Staff or Personnel,

Qualified and caring,

An Education Worker too -

This one is job-sharing!

We all are true professionals,

We do the best we can,

To educate and care,

Observe, assess and plan.

So please decide our title -

Whether grand or plain,

Whatever you might call us,

The people stay the same!

Nursery nurses just need the recognition they deserve for the role they fulfil, alongside a host of other professionals involved with early years care and education - not 101 different job titles that just seem to dilute our importance even further.
