Cartons and bright, sparkly paper were used to create a fierce Chinese dragon as the children from Bright Horizons Tytherington Day Nursery and Preschool in Macclesfirld, Cheshire, celebrated Chinese New Year.

Children heard the story of the Chinese zodiac before a performing a garden parade to welcome the Year of the Monkey.

This was followed by a Chinese dumpling-making and trying out some new noodle-eating chopstick skills.
