Harvest festival

Friday, October 4, 2013

Nurseries across the country have been celebrating Harvest Festival.

Children at Gateways School Early Years in Leeds enjoyed a visit from Farmer John in his tractor and learned about cutting wheat and turning it into flour.

At Busy Bees at Nottingham University, children helped their local Salvation Army group to collect food to give to the homeless.

Pre-school children from Rainbow Nursery school near Tadcaster in North yorkshire hand-delivered food they had collected to their local church.

Children and their parents from Tower View Nursery in Bury, Lancashire brought in items to make harvest baskets for their local children's centre to give to families in need.
