Nursery nurses who qualified more than 18 years ago have been assured that they will not have to re-take their qualifications in order to keep working in the early years sector. The assurance was given last week by Richard Dorrance, chief executive of the Council for Awards in Children's Care and Education (CACHE), after some nursery nurses who qualified as NNEBs around 20 years ago had expressed concerns that they were being expected to re-take their qualification to bring them up to current Level 3 status.
