Awards Review: Nursery World Awards 2009 - A very good time was had by all

Congratulations to all the winners, highly commended and shortlisted entrants for the Nursery World Awards, which were headline sponsored by the Department of Children, Schools and Families and presented at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London's Park Lane on 25 September.

Children's television presenter Michaela Strachan hosted the evening along with 'Voice of the Balls', National Lottery announcer Alan Dedicoat.

Comedy duo Big Howard and Little Howard provided entertainment, and even after a three course meal no one could resist the temptation of the chocolate fountain.

The Nursery of the Year was named as Reflections Nursery in West Sussex, while the award for Nursery Chain of the Year went to Kids 1st Day Nurseries, Gateshead.
