CBBC presenter Angellica Bell was host for the night, with 'Voice of the Balls' Alan Dedicoat in fine form for the voiceovers. Entertainer Bruce Airhead climbed inside a six-foot balloon to emerge as Elvis Presley and went down a storm.
Awards were made across the sector to individuals, organisations, initiatives and resources. Nursery of the Year went to Cowgate Under 5s in Edinburgh, while Westmister Children's Society took Nursery Chain of the Year.
