Let the children enjoy some dancing.

Play suggestions

* Set up an outdoor music area with a battery-powered tape/CD player and a selection of music, including world, pop, classical and folk music and any music particular to the local community, or that the children have brought in.

* Provide home-made instruments that can withstand hard outdoor use, for example, shakers and drums.

* The children will need little encouragement to dance and play along with the music. Don't forget to join in and demonstrate how all body parts can come into play when dancing.

* Provide chairs or benches for the 'audience' or for time out for getting your breath back!
