Play suggestions

* Set up a display area with Funnybones by Janet and Allan Ahlberg (Puffin, 4.99) or similar books and pictures of skeletons (use some old Halloween items!). If you can get hold of a 3D skeleton, even better, as this will encourage artistic interpretations in both 2D and 3D and growing accuracy in naming body parts. Encourage the children to make 2D and 3D skeletons by making available art straws and thin strips of paper (cut-offs from guillotines, etc) and black paper (as background).
