A group of learning support assistants from London

(Photograph) - A group of learning support assistants from London were presented with certificates at a celebratory lunch for being the first group to complete Westminster Children's Society's pilot project in basic training to support children with special educational needs. The six-week programme, funded by Westminster EYDCP, aims to fill a gap in provision by creating a pool of trained LSAs to work with children with special educational needs in private and voluntary early years settings. WCS put the programme together with KIDS and the Westminster Society for People with Learning Difficulties. Photo Michael Petteval.
