Card glue black paper/card green tissue/crepe paper black crayon sticky backed plastic string

Step by step

* Talk about the life cycle and habitat of tadpoles/frogs.

* Cut out the tadpole body shapes (older children can do this themselves).

* Tear the tissue into strips to resemble pond weed.

* Stick the tadpoles and weed on to the card.

* Draw on the tadpoles' tails with black crayon.

* Cover the card with sticky backed plastic to resemble glass.

* Then make a 'jar' shape by bending the card round and securing with sticky tape.

* Finally make two holes on either side of the 'jar' at the top and make a handle by threading through string.
