A month in the life of Jasmine Maya

Jasmine loves to receive post and is allowed to open all the junk mail that arrives. She also enjoys carrying letters to the postbox. When on holiday at the seaside, her parents let her send herself a postcard in an envelope so that she could have the pleasure of opening it when she got home. Jasmine loved digging in the sand with her 'spade and bucket yellow'. She always liked to emphasise the colour.

Jasmine is kept happily occupied during her baby brother's feedtimes with stories, drawing and being involved with 'sticking' which she loves, especially sticky stars. She has drawn a picture in three stages, stating 'fower, stalk, leaf' after each stage.

Jasmine loves to make biscuits with mummy, scraping out the bowl with enthusiasm. She is also allowed to 'cook' with raw ingredients such as pasta, rice and lentils, which holds her attention for long periods.

Jasmine has always been a physical child and has spontaneously learned how to do head over heels, which she repeats regularly. The bottom stair gate has had to be removed for safety reasons, since she now climbs over it.
