Focus on wellbeing

I’ve been a nominated person for over 20 years. (In the sector 40). I have never known such stress and anxiety for the whole team. I can remember better times when inspections were by local authorities, much more supportive and understanding of local challenges. Wellbeing for all was paramount back then.

We are exhausted

I am the manager and SENCO and need to take a lot of work home. Like many settings, we have had a huge increase in SEN children. Although they are very welcome, this does impact our ratios. Since Covid I am mentally exhausted, and I know my staff are feeling the same.

Too much pressure

After 12 years, I’m leaving a job I used to love at the end of the summer term and have no idea what I am going to do, but cannot take the pressure of everything early years entails.
