This year's survey of pay for nannies round the UK is now being compiled by Nannytax. Agencies are reminded to return their questionnaires if they've received one from Nannytax, or if they haven't, to request one on 0845 226 220 or www.nannytax.co.uk. This survey, published in Professional Nanny every January, has become the accepted yardstick for not only nannies' earnings but also trends in their employment and in parents' demands for childcare. So the more details supplied by respondents, the more revealing it will be!

ANA also aims to keep up the campaign, by the Professional Association of Nursery Nurses and others, to make the Government introduce laws requiring all childcarers to be registered and all nanny agencies to be regulated.
