A scheme to get families and communities reading together

A scheme to get families and communities reading together has entered its second phase, with awards of up to 6,000 aimed at those most at risk of being switched off by reading, including young boys. More than 80 community mentors have been recruited for phase two to offer support and guidance to award winners, who can also attend training days before starting their projects.
