A third of children in Scotland

A third of children in Scotland live in low-income households, according to a report published this week. Poverty in Scotland 2002 -People, places and policies, by the Child Poverty Action Group (CPAG) in Scotland, the Scottish Poverty Information Unit and the Open University, also shows that lone parents are twice as likely to be poor compared with those in couples.
