An independent selection of new products and resources

A Children's Playing Field Research and Resources Centre has been established at The Shuttleworth Trust in Bedfordshire. The site is the second such centre (the first is at the Rhondda Heritage Park in Wales) and will provide a comprehensive source of information on children's play for the south of England. A number of self-contained playgrouds, each installed by a leading playground manufacturer, should inspire visitors. Bedfordshire's Playing Fields Association, which has set up the Centre, hopes it will encourage schools, community groups and local authorities to improve their play facilities and to see the best in playground design before making expensive decisions. There will also be seminars on different aspects of play.
