Baby home corners

I am writing for advice from other Nursery World readers. In my time working in nurseries there have been many changes in opinion on how we should work with under-threes. I have been on a lot of training sessions on movement and how important it is for a child's development. During this training there has been much talk about home areas and the under twos - should we or shouldn't we have one? One moment I am in total agreement of not having them but then the next minute I change my view. I'd love to hear other people's opinions on this.

It was a rewarding experience and, although it might sound perverse, I quite enjoyed it after the initial sick feeling in the pit of my stomach on her unannounced arrival!
