Nursery World - Bright Horizons named in best places to work list

Bright Horizons Family Solutions, the second largest nursery group in the UK, has been named as one of Scotland's best workplaces by the Great Place to Work Institute.

The nursery group has been placed in fourth position out of ten companies in the medium/large workplaces category.

It is the only childcare organisation to receive the award, which rates workplaces on how much employees trust the people they work for, have pride in what they do and enjoy the people they work with.

Bright Horizons runs 129 nurseries in total, with 14 in Scotland, employing around 2,698 staff and 1,300 bank staff.

The nursery chain has also won an award for Excellence in Diversity, endorsed by One Workplace Equal Rights, and another for Excellence in Leadership, endorsed by the Chartered Institute of Management.

The Excellence in Diversity award recognises organisations which demonstrate a genuine sense of meritocracy, while the Excellence in Leadership award celebrates organisations that champion caring and creative management teams focused on improving the quality of the workplace for employees.
