Bright Horizons named in top 50 UK workplaces

Bright Horizons Family Solutions has been recognised as one of the ‘UK’s Best Workplaces’ for the ninth consecutive year.

The childcare company, which operates 208 nurseries throughout the country, has been rated 11th in the Great Place to Work Institute’s UK’s Best Workplaces awards within the large employer category.

The Best Workplace Awards celebrate employers who follow a policy of creating positive workplaces.

This is the ninth time Bright Horizons Family Solutions has been recognised as one of the 50 best workplaces in the UK.

Bright Horizons is the second largest employer in the childcare sector, with more than 6,000 employees. The nursery group claims that its annual staff turnover is ‘significantly’ less than the industry average.

Along with operating childcare settings, the company also creates Bright spaces for vulnerable children through the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children.

Last month, the Foundation opened its 30th Bright Space in Putney Police Station’s interview and waiting rooms.

Carole Edmond, managing director of Bright Horizons, said, ‘We are delighted to be consistently recognised as a Best Workplace. It means a great deal to us to know that year upon year our people feel supported, as individuals and as professionals, and that they have such pride in their work. Each member of staff within Bright Horizons contributes to making this a really great workplace, and we’re very proud of them.’
