BUPA Childcare wins government contract

BUPA Childcare has been awarded a three-year contract to supply holiday childcare to Government departments and the London Metropolitan Police. The organisation, which owns and operates the 36-strong chain of Teddies Nurseries, provides childcare for more than 50,000 UK employees and currently runs six holiday clubs across the UK.

On Monday it announced that it was set to expand its school holiday provision with 96 places over four Westminster-based sites: the Treasury, the Cabinet, the DfES and the Department for International Development.

The clubs, which were previously run by Westminster Play Centre Service, part of Westminster Play Association, provide 5,184 childcare places per year for children aged five to 12. Metropolitan Police employees, as well as 30 Government departments, are also able to access the holiday childcare.
