Childminders in the Highlands and Islands

Childminders in the Highlands and Islands will be providing nearly 300 new out-of-school places under the guidance of the Scottish Childminding Association and with the support of cash from the New Opportunities Fund. The SCMA's Highlands and Islands co-ordinator, Katie Adam, and new out-of-school hours co-ordinator Jo Sinclair have helped to establish new out-of-school care places at primary schools in Ross-shire, Sutherland, Caithness, Lochaber, the Western Isles and Skye. The SCMA is keen to recruit further local support. Anyone who is interested in taking part in the project or who is looking for out-of-school childcare can contact Katie Adam on 01463 715545 or Jo Sinclair on 01971 502300.
