Common Core refresh launched

30 March 2010

The CWDC has launched a refresh of the Common Core, which describes the skills and knowledge that everyone who works with children and young people (including volunteers) is expected to have, following a consultation with the sector.

It takes into account changes in frontline practice and policy, highlighting the risks to children from online activities and the importance of online safeguarding, and reflects the skills and knowledge thought to be needed to support early intervention, and disability and disadvantage.
