*Five eggs *six sausages or 300g sausage meat *150g plain flour *200g dried breadcrumbs *salt and pepper to season Children's age: All ages

Makes: Four servings

Preparation time: 25-30 minutes Cooking time: 20 minutes

T = together A = adult A Place four eggs into a saucepan, cover with cold water, bring to the boil and cook for 12 minutes. Set aside and allow to cool.

A Break the remaining egg and whisk up with a fork.

T Once the eggs have cooled, remove their shells.

T If using sausages, remove the skin and mash the meat down with a fork.

T Place 150g plain flour on to a plate and season with salt and pepper.

T Place the breadcrumbs on to a plate.

T To assemble the Scotch egg, take one and a half of the sausages or 75g of the sausage meat and wrap it around the hard boiled egg, until all the egg has been covered with sausage meat. Complete this with each hard-boiled egg.

T Take each wrapped egg and roll through the flour, then the beaten egg and finally the breadcrumbs.

T Place on a baking tray and bake for about 20 minutes on 190xC.
