Drive to attract male teachers to primary school

A drive to attract more men into becoming primary school teachers has been launched by the Training and Development Agency (TDA) for Schools.

Hundreds of men are expected to attend TDA recruitment events inschools. According to the TDA, there has been a rise in male applicantsof 30 per cent since the recession began, but still only one in five ofall applicants are male.
