After a series of delays and lost cheques by the local office, she was asked to attend an appointment involving a long trip and a morning off work, only to see her forms photocopied without an interview. 'I could have been anyone! A scary thought for those parents thinking the approval scheme will get them the "better" nannies,' says Laura. She's still waiting to hear from the approval team despite being told it would be cleared by early April.
