Experience the magic of forest schools

An exciting four-day, residential course will equip practitioners with the ability to create their own forest schools.

Denmark-based training company Inside-Out Nature's next residential Forest Schools course is scheduled for 2-5 October.

The organisation is run by Jane Williams-Siegfredsen who was formerly lecturer in education at Bridgwater College and was one of the team who visited Denmark and took back the idea to start Forest School in the UK.

Areas covered on the course include the pedagogical theories underpinning Scandinavian practice, the use of the outdoor environment in learning processes and curriculum and design, and the function of the indoor and outdoor environments.

Participants will be able to visit different kinds of mainstream and special institutions and schools which demonstrate a diversity of provision.
