Family support: Families at risk to get 16m

Plans for greater links between adults' and children's services to support families at risk were unveiled by the Government last week.

Launching a new report by the Social Exclusion Taskforce, cabinetminister Ed Miliband and children's minister Beverley Hughes said theapproach would build on the Every Child Matters model.

The Government has pledged 16m for Family Pathfinders to developthe 'think family' model, continued investment for Family NursePartnerships and Family Intervention Projects and said that all servicesshould 'share responsibility for family outcomes'.
