Fit to burst

When it comes to resources that are high in play value but low in price, balloons are hard to beat. Be inspired with these fun balloon activities from Miranda Walker Blow balloon relay races

Blow balloon relay races

You will need:

* Inflated balloons

* Split rings (usually used for key rings)

* String

* Drinking straws

Equip each child with a drinking straw, and divide the group into teams.

Attach a split ring to the tied part of a balloon, in the same way that you would normally attach a key. Then thread a long piece of string through the centre of the split ring, so that the balloon can be moved up and down the string. Fix the string across the room, just above the head level of most of the children, and position the balloon at one end of the string, which will become the starting position for the game. Repeat this until you have a length of string with a balloon attached for each team.
