A hole in the childcare market has been spotted and filled by Cressida Hoblyn, the owner of Platinum Nanny Services, who's been pleasantly surprised by the demand for the flexible form of maternity care her agency is now offering.
In her day to day interviewing of nannies for both live-in and daily positions, Cressida says, she comes across a lot of experienced nannies wanting to change the direction of their career and move into maternity work. However, following their maternity training, they need placements to give them experience and confidence in working with newborns and mothers - and gain those vital first few references.
