Using familiar situations, the author explains the advantages of behaving and speaking in certain ways and gives simple techniques. I was particularly interested in the advice on handshaking etiquette.

I was disappointed not to find tips for engaging with different language speakers and people with disabilities in 'Getting on someone's wavelength', but this may be a book in itself. However, I gained valuable insight into some baffling situations, such as people's behaviour at meetings, and the impressions created by one's wardrobe.
