Children had their hands full with messy play at Friary Park in Friern Barnet, north London, when they came out to celebrate the Pre-school Learning Alliance's 40th year in the borough of Barnet.
A city farm was set up for the fun day and children also enjoyed a playbus, entertainers and lots of play areas. Parents could browse atinformation stalls to learn more about the Alliance and its localservices. Elsewhere, the Alliance opened its first children's centre inthe borough at Edgware in May, the first children's centre in Barnet tobe run by the voluntary sector.
