(Photograph) - * Nursery staff enjoyed a black-tie occasion when Ravenstone House Pre-Preparatory School and Nursery Group had its first annual awards ceremony. The event was held in the 18th-century Sculpture Gallery at Woburn Abbey in Bedfordshire at the end of June. Awards were presented to nursery nurses in recognition of their contribution to their nurseries in different categories based around curriculum, care and personality, including 'most creative play ideas', 'best-groomed nursery nurses' and 'best relationship with parents'.

More than 50 awards were given out and more than 120 nursery nurses and administrators attended, including (above, from left to right) Angela Green, Karen Allford, Karen Hilliard, Bernie Nugent, Melanie Salter (in blue), Ann Saunders (front), Michelle Lutchford, and Melanie Prouse.

The Ravenstone House group has recently qualified as an NVQ assessment centre and those achieving NVQs will be able to develop their careers within the group as it carries out its plans to expand across the Midlands and the south-east of England. PHOTO: Joel Chant.
