Garlic or herb bread

Ingredients 1 long French loaf

1 long French loaf

100g butter or margarine

2 cloves fresh garlic or a large bunch of fresh herbs such as chives, parsley, coriander, oregano, thyme or sage

Children's age 4 upwards

Serves 4 people

Preparation time 30 minutes

Cooking time 25 to 30 minutes

A= adult

A Pre-heat oven to 200xC/400xF/ gas mark 6

T Measure out 100g butter or margarine and leave to soften.

T Help children to peel and crush two gloves of garlic, either with a round-ended knife or a garlic press. Place in a bowl with the butter and mix well with a wooden spoon.
