In the final article in our series on preparing for Ofsted inspections, Laura Henry advises settings on the importance of organisation The fifth outcome of Every Child Matters is 'Helping children to achieve economic well-being'. For the purpose of inspection this outcome does not relate to the National Standards. However, providing a first-rate childcare and educational service for children and their families will help their economic and social status within society.

However, providing a first-rate childcare and educational service for children and their families will help their economic and social status within society.

Therefore, the fifth of the five outcomes by which Ofsted will inspect early years settings is 'Organisation'. Settings need to ensure that organisation is taken seriously as this will have an effect on the service that they offer to children.This outcome is linked to:
