Happy Child group acquires two nurseries

Nursery chain Happy Child has taken over two nurseries in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.

The nurseries, called Bush Babies 1 and Bush Babies 2, had been operating for 20 years, and have 56 and 90 places respectively for children up to eight years old.

This acquisition brings the total number of nurseries owned by Happy Child to 15, offering more than 700 places, and this is set to increase by the end of the year.

Tracey Storey, managing director of Happy Child, said, ‘Extracurricular activities at the new nurseries will be brought in line with other Happy Child nurseries to offer a language, music and sport activity plus cookery and gardening.’

She added, ‘The nurseries did not need any renovation, as they were well run. They are a welcome addition to the Happy Child nursery estate.
