How Can Parents Help Their Children's Learning

A practical guide from the Scottish Executive, entitled How Can Parents Help Their Children's Learning, offers advice for parents and teachers on how best they can work together, drawing on good practice in Scottish schools, and suggests ways in which learning can be made more productive and enjoyable. It will be sent to all schools, school boards and parent-teacher associations. Education minister Cathy Jamieson said, 'I want to involve parents as partners in their children's learning. Their support is the single biggest influence on how children get the most from learning.' Copies are also available by contacting David Scott in the Education Department on 0131 244 4436.
