How to share documentation

It is easy to produce volumes of observations and discs full of photographs but not have the time to interpret or process them so that they may be used productively to progress learning. The whole purpose and value of documentation is lost if it cannot be processed rapidly. Children need to be able to re-visit their experiences to make meaning of their actions and thoughts and, therefore, to move forward. But they should given this opportunity within a day or so after.

* One of the speediest, most effective ways for children to revisit their play or experiences is to project digital images or video recordings through a multimedia projector. This is an expensive item of equipment, but it is powerful and instant.

* Settings can achieve the same results on a smaller scale by showing a small group of children the digital images on a laptop or PC.
