It is easy to produce volumes of observations and discs full of photographs but not have the time to interpret or process them so that they may be used productively to progress learning. * One of the speediest, most effective ways for children to revisit their play or experiences is to project digital images or video recordings through a multimedia projector. This is an expensive item of equipment, but it is powerful and instant.

* Settings can achieve the same results on a smaller scale by showing a small group of children the digital images on a laptop or PC.
