A course on the infectious illnesses HIV and hepatitis B is available for childminders on CD-Rom and the internet. Glenrothes College in Fife has developed the 'HIV, Related Illnesses and Hep B' course as part of its e-learning initiative. MP for Central Fife John MacDougall, launching the programme, said, 'Childminders and other people working in the care sector often work long hours and are unable to commit themselves to a college course. Studying on-line will make it much easier for them to keep their skills and knowledge up to date, which can only benefit them and the adults and children they care for in Fife.'
