An informal opening ceremony was held for the new nursery at Ardersier Primary School near Inverness, marking the latest phase of the Highland council's expansion of childcare facilities. New nurseries are currently being built at Farr Primary in Inverness-shire and Rogart Primary in Sutherland, while another is proposed at Crown Primary School in Inverness. The 170,000 unit at Ardersier has places for 22 three-and four-year-olds.
