In brief...Clarification: Bright Horizons

Further to last week's news story, a spokesperson for Bright Horizons has asked us to point out that when private education provider Nord Anglia contracted to buy the Milton Keynes-based nursery group for Pounds 5.8m it also took on Bright Horizons' debt of 6.1m, effectively raising the price to 11.9m. Bright Horizons began with four openings in 1998. While the overall business is currently loss-making, its mature units are significantly profitable.
