Sarah Presswood is the manager of the George Perkins Day Nursery in Birmingham. She completed a law degree in 1987.

'I was interested in doing this course because I felt it would consolidate my experience and bring everything I had learned together. Part of my reason for doing it was to enable my setting to access the quality incentive part of the Transformation Fund.

'I strongly believe that early years care and education needs to have its profile raised. So many people working in early years are unrecognised and developments such as the EYP are much needed.
