Inspectors at a loss

I am a registered nursery education inspector and I agree wholeheartedly with the view that Ofsted's decision to dispose of us is a waste of expertise ('Down the drain', 7 June). We education inspectors will have been thrown on the scrap heap after a lot of hard work. Furthermore, we have not been sufficiently informed about any possible further use that could be made of our services in the near future.

By 20 July I will have completed more than 160 inspections for Ofsted, but I am only contracted to inspect until then. As a Dutch national who is fast approaching the age of 60, where do I get my next job? God only knows (and He is my only hope in this situation).
