iPhone game withdrawn

A game in which players can quiet a virtual crying baby by shaking it, available on the Apple iPhone, has been withdrawn after a deluge of complaints.

The Baby Shaker game showed a cartoon crying baby that could be silencedby shaking the phone and its eyes replaced by red Xs as if it was dead.The game, created by a company called Sikilasoft, appeared on Apple'siPhone App store last week and was withdrawn after two days followingcriticism from children's groups and the public. Apple has alsoapologised for selling the game.
