Jenefer Joseph Award for Creative Arts in the Early Years

Projects run by early years workerscan by honoured in the annual Jenefer Joseph Award for Creative Arts in the Early Years, organised by TACTYC (Training, Advancement and Co-operation in Teaching Young Children). Nominations are now being sought for the award, which celebrates promotion and innovation in the arts and is open to staff teams and individuals working with children aged three to eight. Entries can include any aspect of the arts, including dance, music, craft, drama or painting. Applications must include evidence of the children's work, for example photographs, a video or recording. Entrants will also need to submit an explanation of their project's aims and objectives, saying why this aspect of the arts was chosen, identifying learning goals for children and giving ideas for developing the work, as well as an analysis of why this aspect of the creative arts was promoted, the learning that took place and reflections about ways it could be developed. The first prize is 500.
