Jennie Johnson, managing director and founder of children's services company Kids Allowed

* Jennie Johnson, managing director and founder of children's services company Kids Allowed, has been named Manchester Young Director of the Year by the North West Institute of Directors. She was shortlisted for the award, which celebrates the best and most dynamic directors in the region, from hundreds of candidates, and was feted at a gala dinner hosted by BBC TV news presenter Fiona Bruce. Ms Johnson said, 'I am honoured to win this award, as it has recognised all the hard work we have put into the concept behind Kids Allowed and the achievement of launching both our centres successfully.'
