The new chief executive of the Child Poverty Action Group (CPAG) is Kate Green, the former director of One Parent Families. The two charities have worked together on a number of different initiatives. Lynne Berry, CPAG chair, said, 'Kate's track record, skills and experience put CPAG in a strong position to build further on its significant achievements to date.' CPAG promotes action for the relief of poverty among children and their families and works to ensure that those on low incomes get their full entitlement to welfare benefits. Ms Green takes up her new post in July.
