Learning at home

I think the findings of the Ofsted team's visit to Denmark and Finland are fantastic (News, 24 July). At last someone has given credence to something we have known for years. I home-educate a five-year-old boy who, despite not being in school, out-reads and writes all of his schooled friends, copes better with other children and is starting to learn about molecules and cell division in plants and animals - just because he wants to and is interested!
