Why is quality so important?

Research studies have shown time and time again that good quality early education and care can stimulate children's development. Just recently, a study from London's Institute of Education, the EPPE study, found children did best when they went to good quality pre-school provision. It can help children's thinking skills, their language development and their social and emotional development.
