A Shrewsbury boy had a shock on the toilet when he saw a snake at the bottom of the bowl. Daniel Peate, 11, jumped off the seat and slammed down the toilet lid as the snake tried to make its way out of the bowl, reported the Metro.
A 17-month-old toddler fell out of a three-storey window and escaped with barely a scratch, said The Sun. Kyra Readhead fell 25 foot, bounced off the soft grass below and burst into tears, saying, 'I want Mummy.'
Manufacturers of the popular soft drink Sunny Delight inadvertently created their own orange river, much like the chocolate one in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, said The Times. A small river in Bridgwater, Somerset was turned bright yellow after 8,000 litres of orange juice concentrate leaked from the Gerber Foods factory.
