North Newton Primary School in Bridgwater, Somerset, arranged with the Harvest Moon public house to serve up roasts and curries to children in a dining area separate from the regulars because it has no kitchen to prepare hot lunches.

Three-year-old Johanna Sealy, from Chester has experienced every young child's dream since seeing her story made into a TV cartoon, after winning a national story competition held by digital channel NickJr. Her mother Heather told The Daily Telegraph that Johanna's story of Bertie the Pink Car was inspired by a pink car parked near her home. 'It became her story because every time she asked if the car was a boy or a girl, she answered it herself. So I wrote down what she said.'
